We had a spectacular day trip on a warm December day. We arrived in Los Angeles, California and stayed at the #residenceinnbymarriott in Long Beach where the staff were very helpful. We booked our stay based on TripAdvisor reviews, through Expedia.ca
Our trip to Catalina Island began with a 2h ferry to @Catalina Island from Long Beach. It was a perfectly calm, warm and sunny day. We saw dolphins, sea lions and pelicans along the way and at the Catalina wharf. I got dangerously close to the latter! Catalina Island is a perfect day trip. We enjoyed the shops, watching the golf carts speed by and the delicious beachside lunch!
The next time we visit I think we will hire a golf cart and explore more of the island. this was a perfect day trip for us but it could also be a 2 day trip with a stay in one of the many B&Bs!
