We are a 50+ couple with a mid-range travel budget
We are a 50+ middle-aged couple who call Canada home. We love to travel but also love returning home to family, friends, and our pup, Penny.
We downsized to a “lock and leave” home in 2017, and then we retired in 2021. Now we have the time and the opportunity to see new places on our timeline. We are in our go-go years!
We created a blog for two reasons:
- to have a digital record of our experiences to share with family/friends
- to share travel tips we have learned along the way.
We hope that reading about our experiences and our mid-budget choices might make your next trip more enjoyable and easier to plan.

We love planning trips and seeing new places. So far, we have explored 55 new countries. We enjoy trying new places and modes of transportation too.
