We saw many birds, dolphins and fish right from the ship. We watched multiple pods of spotted dolphins 🐬 from our balcony in the warm Mexican waters.
A flock of brown boobies (frigates) fished alongside the boat for hours as we entered the waters near Panama. We enjoyed their aerobatics and how they drafted just above the waves.
One morning near Ecuador, we viewed a pod of humpback whales (8+) and a few spotted dolphins 🐬 from our port side balcony.
Many sea lions swam and lounged on buoys as we departed from the Pisco harbour.
We saw more sea lions and Inca terns on the coast in Chile 🇨🇱 . We heard and viewed bright green parrots in the trees in Santiago. We saw the greater finch, llama and alpacas in the mountains when we toured the Cajon de Maipo.

I took my first plane ride at 6 months of age and I have never looked back! I met my husband because of a travel photo. Together, we have travelled to 47 countries; some for a day and some for a couple of years! We love to share what we have learned along the way to make travel easier for those of us who are middle-aged with mid-range budgets.
