Ports of Call Dec 8-14
We travelled down the west coast of California, and the Pacific coast of Mexico and Guatemala.
Cabo San Lucas 🇲🇽 was a beautiful anchorage. We were only there for a few hours so we stayed aboard.
Huatulco, 🇲🇽
We arrived on a beautiful day and took a catamaran tour. We viewed many bays and swam in a protected cove in the national park. The water was clear, blue, warm and plastic-free. The post-swim margaritas and beer were refreshingly cold. It was 32C and really hot by noon.🥵🌡
Puerto Queztal, Guatemala🇬🇹
This was the hottest (humidex 37C) port. Fortunately, it was breezy and we found shade. We enjoyed a Guatemalan beer, a margarita and wifi as we checked a week’s worth of messages. We bought 2 leather belts to replace our tired ones. The volcanoes are impressive here! I saw a real 🍌 banana boat in port!

I took my first plane ride at 6 months of age and I have never looked back! I met my husband because of a travel photo. Together, we have travelled to 47 countries; some for a day and some for a couple of years! We love to share what we have learned along the way to make travel easier for those of us who are middle-aged with mid-range budgets.
